For a second time, in 2019, the U.S. Department of Education recognized St. Peter School as a National Blue Ribbon School. St. Peter School was one of 50 non-public schools in the country to be recognized as "Exemplary High Performing." To qualify for the award, standardized test scores in the areas of reading and math must be in the top 10 percent across the nation.
In addition to exceptional test scores, programs and practices are required to earn exemplary status. The programs and practices that further distinguished St. Peter School include:
- clear vision and focused mission;
- rigorous curriculum;
- engaging and challenging learning environment;
- frequent monitoring of student progress; and
- effective home-school communication.
This comprehensive effort allows every student the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. The National Blue Ribbon award reflects our commitment to high standards and expectations; the dedication and talent of the faculty and staff; and the positive work ethic of the students.
