  • What are the class sizes?

    Pre-Kindergarten is capped at 20 students. Kindergarten through Grade 8 can accomodate 25 students per class.

  • When does the application period open?

    Applications open the first Monday in October each year.

  • When does the application period close?

    The next application period closes on Friday, January 12, 2024.

  • It's past the deadline...can I still apply?

    Email communications@stpeterschooldc.org to inquire whether the class you're interested in has space. If we are at capacity, we can help you plan your application for the next application period.

  • Do you offer financial aid?

    Yes. First, apply to The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington Tuition Assistance Program. Once applied, contact Principal Karen Clay regarding available tuition assistance from St. Peter School.

  • Does the reduced tuition rate apply to any Catholic?

    To be eligible for The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington (ADW) Parishioner Rate, the applicant must be a baptized Catholic, and at least one parent must:

    • be a baptized Catholic;
    • be registered as a parishioner at an ADW parish by January 1, 2022;
    • consistently contribute financially or via time/support to an ADW parish between January 1, 2022, and December 1, 2022; and
    • make and carry out an annual pledge for calendar year 2023 that includes a commitment to participate with his/her child in regular Sunday worship at an ADW parish, to participate in the activities and ministries of the parish as his/her circumstances allow, and to contribute financially to the support of the parish as circumstances allow (in addition to school tuition payments).
  • How do we get the best chance of admission?

    St. Peter School does not discriminate in its admissions policy on the basis of race, color, creed or national origin. When all admissions criteria are equally met, however, we do give preference to 1) siblings of currently registered students; 2) active (generally one-year registration and contribution/activity record) parishioners in one of our supporting parishes (St. Peter's Church, the home parish; St. Joseph's; St. Dominic's; St. Mary Mother of God; St. Patrick's; the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle; Epiphany Catholic Church; and St. Francis de Sales); and 3) active Catholic parishioners from outside the Archdiocese who are moving to the area.
