Mrs. Ackerman joined the community as school nurse in 2008. She has 15 years of hospital nursing experience, predominantly in critical care, working in New York City and Washington, D.C. She also has experience as the manager and co-owner of a small business. Mrs. Ackerman holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing in NY and a current license in the District of Columbia as a registered nurse. She is a member of St. Peter’s Church and a former St. Peter School parent.
